Here are 5 stops in Georgetown that will have you mailing photos to all of your friends and family like the good ole days.

 South Court Alley

1. Mural Alley
Mural Alley, a.k.a Historic Downtown Georgetown, checks off all must haves for a small Kentucky downtown: historic buildings, a vibrant streetscape flowered with bourbon barrels, welcome signs, American flags, and half a dozen murals. These signature pieces of art frame the history of Georgetown’s past, present, and love of horse. To discover all of Scott County’s murals read Mural, Mural on the Wall

2. Countryside Sunrises & Sunsets
Good lighting is key to a postcard worthy photo and lighting is best during the golden hour; a short period of time shortly after sunrise or before sunset. So, get on out there and explore our countryside filled with rolling hills, stone fences, barn quilts, and frolicking horses. To make it easy you can find picture perfect driving tours here

Steeped in History3. Ward Hall

One of the grandest of its kind, this 12,000 sq ft. villa supported by four 27-foot-high fluted Corinthian columns is definitely an eye-catching backdrop. The inside is just as lavishing with its’ 14-foot-wide halls, double elliptical staircase and furnishing of period pieces. Ward Hall is open for tours April through December.
