New Tipsy Cow Bar Celebrates Its Grand Opening
Live music, ribbon cutting and giveaways open full-service/full-scale entertainment bar

GEORGETOWN, KY – AUGUST 03, 2018 – The Tipsy Cow, Georgetown’s newest bar and entertainment venue, will hold its Grand Opening on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 3 and 4. The event goes lives at 1 p.m. on Friday with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with the Georgetown-Scott County Chamber of Commerce. That evening Whiskey Creek will perform on the Tipsy Cow stage at 7-9 p.m., followed by Bedford Band, playing 10 p.m.-1 a.m. On Saturday, a full lineup of live music kicks off with Red River Revival, 4-6 p.m.; Tyler Halsey and Stealing Thunder, 7-9 p.m.; and Branden Martin, 10 p.m.-1 a.m. Throughout the celebration the Tipsy Cow will serve free pork rinds and give away branded t-shirts.
Regular hours for the Tipsy Cow begin on Sunday, Aug. 5. The bar will serve food all day until 9 p.m., offering a condensed menu of pub grub, including appetizers like wings, cheese curds and loaded cheese fries and main dishes including burgers, chicken sandwiches and tenders, salads and more. The full-service bar features more than 10 local beers on draft and 25-plus bottled beers and nearly 100 liquors.
The casual and inviting space can seat approximately 200 and offers plenty of fun, with two pool tables, two dart boards and Golf Tee Live, a full stage for live music performances and a dance floor. Entertainment runs the gamut, with karaoke, live music, trivia night, ladies’ night featuring a live DJ, college night and more. Adding to the fun are Tipsy Cow branded merch that puts the befuddled bovine front and center on t-shirts, tank tops and caps.
“We have a little bit of something for everyone,” says Tipsy Cow General Manager Erika Shrout. “You can’t find this level of entertainment anywhere in Georgetown.”
